FRIDAY, 5/29 -> As we close out a ridiculously fun month of May, we wanted to remind you to check out Meeg Conroy’s fantastic art exhibition before it comes down in a few days. A lot of the pieces have been sold, but there are still some great pieces to be had at reasonable prices. Here’s another taste (which we’re pretty sure is sold, don’t miss your last chance to see it in person!)…
On top of the top notch art, we’ve got Mikey Fresh on the patio for a pop-up shop with choice records, good woods, gear and more and we’re celebrating friend of the party Aleasha Bram’s birthday! Even on a night full of happenings, the most important part of the party is the music, so be prepared to dance because DJ Low Key & DJ Lazy Eyez will be rocking all the best in hip hop and more while our official photographer Knower Of The Ledge catches it on film, in classic Solution tradition!!! 9pm / 21+ / No cover until 11, only $5 after / 2701 Larimer Street.

Producers, beatmakers, musicians & such, if you’d like to enter The 2015 Solution Beat Battle, here’s what you need to do by midnight on Tuesday , 2/10. Please send either:
-A soundcloud link to 3+ of your beats
or
-An e-mail with 3 beats attached
or
-A streaming link to a project you produced
and
-a photo of yourself (to be posted when the competitors are announced)
and
-a short bio

JANUARY 2015 -> After a jam-packed, extra crazy opening night earlier this month (with a cameo by renowned rap prodigy Mac Miller & guest set from his DJ, Clockwork, check the pics below), we wanted to remind y’all make sure you check out Blake Jackson’s super dope 4th Wall: Rogues & Heroes show at sometime before January wraps up at The Meadowlark. Blake’s photo exhibit features some fantastic work, head over to his Instagram page at @Jake_Blackson to get more familiar with his work. He’s already sold about half the show, come check it out before the month wraps up and it’s gone for good.
To officially close things out, we’ll be celebrating on Friday, 1/30 at The Solution w/DJ Low Key & DJ Lazy Eyez on the turntables, Blake taking party photos, goods and records by Mikey Fresh and more while we rock all the best in hip hop and more, all night long! 9pm / No cover until 11pm / 21+ / 2701 Larimer Street.

The weather was better than we could have ever hoped for, the crowd was filled with a ton of regulars from the Summer and smiling faces, Moontower Tacos blessed us with great food, Judith & Joe brought the records & gear, and most importantly, me, DJ SpydaTek & DJ Lazy Eyez had an opportunity to play Dilla for 8+ hours; it was about as good as a Sunday gets.
Goodness returns (in grand fashion) on May 4th…Until then, catch The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez every Friday night at the Meadowlark!!!

FRIDAY, 2/28 at 7pm -> We’re excited to be wrapping up a ridiculously fun month of events for #TheSolution7 in grand fashion (no pun intended…LOL) with a the first ever Solution Beat Swap & Fashion Show!!! We’ll be combining music and fashion with styles by Akomplice Clothing, Family Affair, Karma Leigh & Xencs L. Wing, records by ten top Denver diggers and both gear and vinyl from the lovely ladies at Judith & Joe Fashion & Records mobile boutique. We teamed up with the crew at Akomplice for sample sale back in December, which was a hit despite sub-zero temperatures all night, so we decided to bring back the sample sale for round 2; with a great selection of one of a kind items, rarities and more great Akomplice gear on sale at deeply discounted prices (tip: come early at 7pm for the choicest record & gear selections).
Combining music and fashion is just the start though, Moontower Tacos will be back at the Meadowlark too, bringing their uniquely delicious Austin-style tacos to the party. Solution residents DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez will be on the turntables, Knower Of The Ledge will be catching the fun on film and the night’s gonna be so much that we’re gonna start early at 7pm.
