Common calls the Solution “real hip hop in Denver”…
First off, I gotta shout out everybody who hit me up from the Common show all geeked last night. I was busy spinning at Shag (gotta pay those bills, speaking of which, come check out the spot sometime) when all of the sudden I get a whole bunch of text messages asking if I was at the show and saying that Common just announced that “the Solution is real hip hop in Denver”. Wow, just wow….my jaw dropped and I didn’t believe it until more people hit me up. One of my all-time favorite MCs, shouting out the hip hop night me & Sounds Supreme built from the ground up, fresh off a #1 debut, I still can’t believe it. Anyways, the point here is that if Com knows that the Solution is the real hip hop ish in Denver, then hopefully you guys reading this know what’s up too. And since most of you already know what’s up, do me a favor and tell a friend or two, thanks.
With that said, things are just getting going for the Solution w/DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme at our new home, the Funky Buddha rooftop (partially enclosed and heated for all seasons, gotta love that). The crowd is amazing, the vibe is different than anywhere else in Denver and you know me & Sounds Supreme stay playin the best in classic hip hop & more every Friday night. Plus, there’s no cover, the drinks flow cheap, the girls who come out like Camp Lo and we’re about to turn it up (c) Dilla with some crazy events (you know how we do) and more. Come check us out every Friday night, you won’t be sorry. 21+/music at 9/776 Lincoln.

Chicken & Waffles at the Solution this Friday:::Median (of the Justus League) on 4/27
Two 2006 Westword Best Hip Hop Nominees + Chicken & Waffles – the same old top 40 + the music of the west coast = 4/20 at the Solution with DJ Low Key & Sounds Supreme.
This Friday, 4/20, come by and celebrate the music of the west coast with complimentary chicken & waffles, that’s right, CHICKEN & WAFFLES (a Cali tradition), plus Gin & Juice Specials all night long. Better yet, come through early for no cover & $3 wells until midnight.
Then on 4/27, don’t miss the DJ Low Key & Median:Relief in the Making Mixtape Release Party at the Solution. Come check out a live performance by Median and get a free copy of the mixtape (mixed by DJ Low Key and hosted by 9th Wonder, yeah that 9th Wonder) before it hits stores and the internet. Come out early for no cover & $3 wells until 12.
Also, don’t forget about the 400’s First Fridays Afterparty on 5/4. Head over to the 400 between 7-10 for a ridiculous art showing with complimentary food & drinks, then head around the corner to the Solution for the afterparty.
