FRIDAY, 12/6 -> We’re super excited to be teaming up with our good friends over at Akomplice Clothing for a very rare sample sale, featuring one of a kind items, rarities and a whole lot more at a deep discount at The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez.  It’s a great chance to get presents for everyone on your Christmas list, get yourself ready for Winter or just make sure you have some fresh gear that no one else has; all while supporting a Colorado-based company that’s been active in the hip hop scene for years.  Award-winning DJs and Solution residents DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez will be on the turntables all night, party photographer Knower Of The Ledge will be snapping flicks of the party for our Instagram (@DenverSolution) and Facebook pages and a good time will be had by all at “Denver’s best hip hop party” (c) Dear Denver. 2701 Larimer St / 9pm / 21+ / No cover until 11, only $5 after.

FRIDAY, 11/29 -> We’re super excited to be teaming up with our good friend Brandee Castle to introduce her fresh new endeavor, Judith & Joe Fashion & Records Truck.  That’s right, a mobile fashion, records & cool randomness boutique, in the tradition of food trucks and such.  Starting on 11/29, you’ll be able to catch Judith & Joe bringing all sorts of fresh goods to cool spots around town, but if you want first crack at all their newness, catch them from 6-8:30pm outside of Our Mutual Friend and then outside The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez at The Meadowlark from 9pm-midnight.

The Solution is on Instagram & we’re adding an official photographer to the team! Introducing Armando aka Knower Of The Ledge!!!

If you’ve been following the party for a decent amount of time, you know that we rarely add anyone to the team.  Over the years, the party’s roster has included resident DJs Low Key, Lazy Eyez & Sounds Supreme, official/infamous bartender Jessica and the young homies DJ Dozen & B-Money during The Solution Boulder’s short run (also, huge shouts to honorary members like the cats at Family Affair, Akomplice & Denver Frank).

On that note, we recently made a HUGE addition to the team that we’re excited to announce and his name is @KnowerOfTheLedge aka Armando aka the first official Solution photographer!  He’ll be documenting all of our fun times at the party, and he’s already off to a great start. FRIDAY, 11/22 -> It’s been a great year at The Solution in 2013 and right on time for the big holiday season, we’re excited to give back some by helping collect new, unwrapped gifts to donate low income children via Hope Communities, an organization that provides low income housing and services to refugees and immigrants in the Denver area.  We’ll be partying as usual at The Solution, with award-winning DJs Low Key & Lazy Eyez rocking on the turntables (4 best hip hop DJ in Denver awards between them!), no cover til 11 and such, but if you bring a present we’ll waive the cover for you and a guest if you show up after 11 and send you home with a nice little gift or two from us (something like a super high quality Michael Coriano Art Of Records III Ink Monstr sticker, a Solution magnet for your fridge, mixtape, etc).  It doesn’t need to be anything extravagant, you don’t need to wrap it and half the crowd shows up after 11 on a given Friday anyway; might as well put that cover money to better use and bring a small gift for needy child, everybody ends up better off that way!!!  Party photos by Knower Of The Ledge at IG: @DenverSolution / 2701 Larimer St / 9pm / 21+ / No cover until 11, only $5 after without a present.

FRIDAY, 11/15 -> We’re excited to welcome our good friend and touring DJ extraordinaire Trackstar The DJ.  He’s Killer Mike & El-P aka Run The Jewels’s official DJ, a member of The Smoking Section crew and an infamous mixtape technician, he’ll be joining Solution residents DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez on the turntables for what promises to be a great night.  Solution photographer Knower Of The Ledge will be taking party photos, things kick off at 9pm and there’s no cover til 11 (only $5 after).  2701 Larimer St / 21+.

FRIDAY, 11/1 -> We’re looking forward to celebrating the new EP from one of Colorado best hip hop groups, Prime Element, at The Solution.  To get the night started, we’ll be previewing Prime Element’s new Welcome To The Future EP, which featuring guest appearances from Toki Wright (Rhymesayers), Metty Dertmerchant (of Sweatshop Union) & Jon Shockness (of Air Dubai) with production from Es Nine, Shuko and the Solution’s own DJ Lazy Eyez.  From there, Cysko Rokwel & Es Nine of Prime Element and DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez of The Solution will be blessing the turntables with all the best in hip hop and lots more for your dancing and drinking pleasure.  We’ll also be featuring live painting and goods by EP cover artist & Denver favorite Delton Demarest to class things up.  It all goes down at the award-winning Meadowlark (2701 Larimer St) at 9pm / No cover til 11pm / Only $5 after / 21+.

FRIDAY, 10/25 -> This year Halloween falls on a weekday, so we’re kicking off the celebrations almost a week early at The Solution w/DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez with all sorts of fun stuff.  If you’ve got a good costume, make sure you rock it, we’re giving away a pair of tickets to the Kanye West/Kendrick Lamar show to the best one.  Everybody’s a winner though, we’ll have free candy and a couple of piñatas to smash (that’s last year’s Frankenstein piñata on the flyer), not to mention award-winning music and your favorite Halloween oriented jams!

As if that wasn’t enough, we’ve super excited to announce that Knower Of The Ledge (IG: @KnowerOfTheLedge) will be joining The Solution (take a quick minute to check our new instagram page at @DenverSolution) as the party’s official photographer.  He’ll be with us every Friday from now on, taking pictures of the party and documenting all our great times at the Meadowlark (2701 Larimer St)!!!  9pm / No cover til 11pm / Only $5 after / 21+.

UPDATE:

Things got a whole lot crazier over the weekend.  We’re excited to be doubling the fun for Friday from our initial plans, here’s the 3 reasons why:

1: We’re teaming up with the one and only Opt Won & Chubby Robot to make The Solution the official afterparty for the highly  anticipated Diehorrorama art show, a horror film themed diorama art show at Eslinger Gallery (118 South Broadway) from 6-9pm that you won’t want to miss.  It’s features 20 or so of Denver’s best artists, treats by The Shoppe, our homies DJ Tense & DJ Unison on the turntables and more fun.  It’s a perfect way to get your night going before The Solution!

2: Longtime friend of the party and producer/DJ extraordinaire Kid Hum (Welcome To The D.O.P.E. Game) is about to head out of town for a long trip to Tokyo & other parts of Asia, so come out and wish the homie off on a good trip.

3: We’re looking forward to welcoming The Cluck Truck back for another culinary guest spot.  They’re easily one of the tastiest food trucks in town and we can’t wait have them back for another round of delicious fried chicken, homemade pickles & lots more.

FRIDAY, 10/18 -> This week, we’re bringing in half of Stay Tuned (along with partner Mane Rok) and Crunk Brother extraordinaire Deejay Tense for some turntable fun.  He’s been a fixture of the Colorado scene for years, racking up Westword “Best Hip Hop DJ” nominations, opening for a who’s who of hip hop and gaining quite a rep throughout Denver and beyond.  He’ll be joining Solution residents DJ Low Key & Lazy Eyez and keeping the “best hip hop party in Denver” (c) DearDenver.net rocking all night long at the Meadowlark (2701 Larimer St).  9pm / No cover til 11pm / Only $5 after / 21+.

FRIDAY, 9/27 -> For years, we’ve been talking about throwing a party where we pit The Neptunes and Timbaland’s music head to head, since we’re HUGE fans of both and between them, they’ve dominated the hip hop/R&B/pop production landscape for 15+ years and made some of favorite songs to play out.  Also, we’re happy for any excuse to play more N.E.R.D. songs, random Timbaland remixes and S.B.I. songs (if you know, you know!).  DJ Low Key will be rocking all your favorite Chad Hugo & Pharrell tunes for Team Star Trak & Lazy Eyez will be repping Team Timbo & crew all night.  Come early if you’re trying to catch the more random joints, but trust, we’re going in all night at the Meadowlark (2701 Larimer St).  9pm / No cover til 11pm / Only $5 after / 21+.
