SUNDAY, 5/26 from 3pm-midnight -> With Monday being Memorial Day and most people having the day off, it’s only right that we have an extra special Goodness the day/night before. This edition is extra special indeed, as we import world renowned DJ Mick Boogie (DJ for Jay-Z/Lebron, mixtapes w/Little Brother, Busta Rhymes) from Brooklyn and Prime Element’s own Es Nine to join me in celebrating the legendary Native Tongues crew. Even if you don’t know the crew name, you know the Native Tongues fore-bearers, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Jungle Brother & Queen Latifah, but their affiliations extended to Black Sheep, Monie Love, Leaders Of The New School, Brand Nubian, Common, Chi-Ali, Bush Babees, The Beatnuts, Mos Def & beyond. We’ll be rocking classics, album cuts, b-sides, remixes, guest spots, rarities, original samples and so on from all the members of the crew, all day and into the night on the Meadowlark’s incredible patio.
Then at 10pm, we’re kicking off the first night of the Goodness Film Club with a screening of Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels Of A Tribe Called Quest on the Meadowlark patio’s outdoor screen. For the rest of the Summer, every Sunday we’ll be screening either a music related movie, comedy or something else cool after we wrap up the music at 10pm. Consider it your wind down for the weekend, I know that’s my plan. No Que No Tacos Y Mariscos will be cooking up tacos and on the drink side of things, we’ll have Jessica the Solution Bartender and Tara serving three delicious flavors of agua frescas with Svedka and a whole lot more.  2701 Larimer St/ No Cover / 21+.
